Shawn Ives, MA, LPCC
Shawn Ives graduated from The University of Dayton, where he received his Master of Science: Community Counseling degree. He is licensed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, & Marriage and Family Therapist Board as a professional clinical counselor. Shawn is a certified instructor of Positive Parenting with a Plan. He is an active member of the counseling team at the District Board of Ministerial Development (DBMD) for the Wesleyan Denomination, where he helps future pastors with their ordination education. He works with Lifestyle Medicine Physicians to provide support for whole food plant based programs regarding mental health. Shawn previously served as a clinical fellow at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Beverly Hills, CA treating vocal disorders prior to his degree as a licensed psychotherapist. He volunteers serving as a 4/5th grade Sunday School teacher at his church. Shawn enjoys playing the saxophone, reading science fiction and hiking. He and his wife have been married for 26 years, and have two children.
